What is email spoofing and how to prevent it?

Email spoofing is when a spammer sends out emails using your email address in the "From" field. The idea is to make it seem like the message is from you – in order to trick people into opening it.

These emails do not originate from website or mail servers, their addresses are just edited to make them appear that way.

Unfortunately, there is no effective way to stop email spoofing, due to the fact that the messages actually originate from the spammer's email account and is sent from the spammer's email server.

These kind of spamming happens and you may use discard rule or filtering method from your cpanel to avoid receiving the bounceback messages.
